Turret Rotary Base Joint Connector
Description
The turret rotary base joint is usually installed at the connection between the turret and the vehicle body, at the rotation center of the turret. It is mainly composed of a rotating part (rotor) and a stationary part (stator). The rotor is connected to the turret and rotates with the turret, while the stator is fixed to the vehicle body and connected to external power sources, signal sources, etc. The electrical contact between the rotor and the stator realizes the transmission of current, data signals, etc. between the rotating turret and the stationary vehicle body, ensuring that various equipment on the turret, such as the gun control system, sighting system, and communication system, can work normally when the turret rotates.
Main Feature
High reliability: Military products have extremely high reliability requirements. Turret rotary bast joint (slip rings) need to work stably under various harsh environmental conditions (such as high temperature, low temperature, humidity, dust, etc.) and complex battlefield environments to ensure the normal operation of the turret system. They have high anti-interference ability and protection level, and can prevent electromagnetic interference and external environmental factors from affecting signal transmission.
High precision: To ensure the precise aiming and control of the artillery, the turret slip ring needs to provide accurate signal transmission to ensure the accuracy of signals such as angle measurement and position feedback, so as to achieve precise rotation positioning of the turret and precise pointing of the artillery.
High current transmission capability: Many devices on the turret, such as the drive motor of the artillery, high-power search radar, etc., need to consume large currents, so the turret slip ring needs to have high current transmission capabilities to meet the power supply requirements of these devices.
Multi-channel integration: Modern turrets need to transmit multiple types of signals, such as video signals, audio signals, control signals, sensor signals, etc., as well as power supplies of different voltage levels. Turret slip rings usually have multiple channels, which can transmit multiple signals and power supplies at the same time to achieve the integration of multiple functions.
High speed adaptability: During combat, the turret needs to rotate quickly to track the target, so the turret slip ring needs to be able to adapt to high-speed rotational motion to ensure the stability and reliability of signal transmission during high-speed rotation.
Typical Application
Turret rotary base joint (slip rings )are mainly used in turret systems of various military equipment, including tanks, self-propelled artillery, infantry fighting vehicles, naval guns, etc. In tanks, it provides power and signal transmission for the rotation of the turret, allowing the gunner to accurately control the aiming and firing of the artillery through the equipment in the turret, while ensuring the normal operation of the sighting system, communication system, etc.
